Adam was born on August 4, 1991, in Overland Park, Kansas, United States.

He attended Blue Valley Northwest High School in Overland Park and later played college baseball at the University of Missouri.

Adam was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the fifth round of the 2010 MLB Draft. This marked the beginning of his professional baseball career. 

He made his MLB debut on September 4, 2018, with the Kansas City Royals. 

Adam has played for multiple teams in his MLB career. After the Royals, he was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018 and then traded to the Chicago Cubs in 2019. 

He has a fastball that can reach the mid-90s in terms of velocity. He also throws a slider and a changeup. 

In addition to his MLB career, Adam has played in the minor leagues for various teams, including the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Northwest Arkansas Naturals, and Buffalo Bisons, among others. 

Off the field, Jason Adam is known for his charitable work. He has been involved in community outreach programs 

Jason Adam has faced adversity throughout his baseball career. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2014 

In 2019, Adam had a breakthrough season with the Chicago Cubs. He appeared in 23 games, pitching 21.1 innings with a 2.91 ERA and 25 strikeouts.
